ethics blogg

After responding to a blogg posted about Wal-Mart I recalled an article I read
recently regarding their involvement in Japan. They introduced the idea of the
store and promoted a peaceful, ethical company that believed in group
cohesiveness. Ironically, within weeks of aquiring rights of local "seiyu"
stores they fired 25% of the currently employed, consisting of over 1500
managers and associates. This has led to a decline in business because they
have pissed people off, for lack of a better word. Not only have they
misrepresented themselves when entering the market, they have also violated the
trust the former employees and consumers had placed in the company. Big business
has no loyalty to ethics apparently.

This article is alittle diconcerting because it is showing how sometimes in business if you do the right thing that it could backfire on you.
